How we review carriers

Every review on this site is written by Nicholas Norminton, a licensed insurance agent (NPN 20817039), licensed in all 50 states. You can verify that license through the national producer registry at nipr.com.

Where our numbers come from

The rates we publish come from carrier rate cards and published agent guides. We show the document edition on the page, and we recheck rates when carriers reprice. If a number on this site does not match a live quote, we want to know: call (855) 380-9555.

How we make money

Asurgo is an independent brokerage. When you buy a policy through us, the insurance company pays us a commission. Your price is the same as buying direct. Some carriers we review are carriers we sell. Others compete with us. The review says which is which, and the numbers come from published rate documents either way.

What we never do

No carrier pays to be reviewed, ranked, or recommended. We never pay for customer reviews or trade anything for them. We do not publish rates we cannot trace to a carrier document.
