OUR PROCESS

How We Review Carriers

Asurgo is an independent brokerage, not a captive agency. We are not owned by or contractually tied to any single carrier. That independence is what allows us to give honest assessments of every company we work with.

We evaluate carriers across five dimensions: financial strength (AM Best rating), pricing competitiveness, underwriting flexibility (how lenient they are with health conditions), claims payout history, and product range. Our assessments are based on years of working with these carriers and placing real policies for real families.

Our reviews are updated regularly as carriers change their products, pricing, and underwriting guidelines. If a carrier improves or declines, our ratings reflect that.
